Introducing Roisin Claffey, our dynamic Recruitment Consultant for the Multilingual, Call Centre & Customer Service Division! This month, we’re excited to feature Roisin in our Meet the Team series. Let’s learn more about her!
1. What’s one thing you can’t live without?
Definitely music, I have music playing all day, everyday! And my dogs, Goku and Tifa. ❤️
2. What is your favourite part about your job?
My favourite part about recruitment is how people orientated it is, I love meeting new people, speaking with people from all over the world (I work on the multilingual desk), and I love to help people. It’s a lovely feeling being part of the entire interview process and getting to give candidates the good news that they have gotten the job.
3. What is your biggest passion outside of work?
Outside of work I’m a DJ and it is something I am really passionate about. So, when I am not recruiting, you can find me playing gigs!
4. What’s the best advice you have ever received?
It sounds cliché but to live life to the full and to do all the things you want to do because it really is so short, the years fly by and the older I get the more I feel it so I think its important to make sure you don’t let anything or anyone hold you back in living your life on your own terms, you don’t want to look back and regret not having done so. Anything is possible so just go for it!
5. What’s the most interesting or unusual place you have ever visited?
I travelled around India last year and it was the most amazing experience, I enjoyed every minute of it.
6. What’s on your travel bucket list for the future?
I would like to see more of Asia, and I would also love to travel to Africa. When it comes to travel, I definitely seek to experience countries and cultures completely different to my own.
7. What’s your go-to song or playlist when you need a pick-me-up?
Probably some upbeat dance music, I use Soundcloud quite a lot it’s great for discovering new music and lesser-known artists.
8. What’s your favourite book or movie of all time?
I find it hard to pick favourites! But I do love the movie Shutter Island, and I love the book Justice: Whats the Right Thing to Do? I studied Law in college and have a keen interest in it so that tends to be reflected in the movies/books etc. I enjoy!
9. What’s your favourite comfort food, and why does it hold a special place in your heart?
You can’t beat tea and toast! When I stay at home in my mother’s house, she still makes it for me every morning, so it definitely holds a special place in my heart because of that.
10. Can you tell us something about you that most people don’t know?
I also do photography outside of recruitment. I think it’s really important to have hobbies!
